f you've been into video games for decades, you would probably agree that the Mega Man series is not only known for the blaster-wielding protagonist, but the memorable soundtracks they all have. Mega Man 8's stage select screen influenced Mega Man 11's stage select screen as it's a new, modern take on the legendary track. The Mega Man 11 OST was published and released physically as a set of CDs in Japan on November 14, 2018. It can also be streamed digitally on Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play Music, and Amazon Prime Music.
What is Mega Man 11?
Mega Man 11 is an action-platform game by Capcom released worldwide on October 2, 2018. It's a 2.5D graphics style game where the player controls Mega Man through a collection of levels which can be chosen in any order, all containing a unique boss that must be defeated. The bosses include Block Man, Acid Man, Blast Man, Fuse Man, Bounce Man, Torch Man, Impact Man, and Tundra Man.
Mega Man retains the Mega Buster and slide, and is able to obtain new weapons by defeating the bosses at the end of each stage. New additions to Mega Man 11 are the Speed Gear and Power Gear, which let Mega Man slow down time and temporarily increase attack power, respectively. There are other additional features which include Missions, Time Trials, and Global Leaderboards. If the game deems too difficult, there are four difficulty settings: Newcomer, Casual, Normal, and Superhero.
The nostalgic sci-fi track is composed by Marika Suzuki, a Capcom supportive sound composer who has worked on games to the likes of Mega Man Star Force 2, and Monster Hunter 4.
