t appears that the North Korean dictator, Kim Jong Un, is in a coma. After months of speculation and reports of Kim Jong Un's medical situation, yet another report has come out stating that he has been in a coma for quite some time. The report seems to have come from a former South Korea official, Chang Song-min. The former official states that it is because of his coma, that his public appearances have been so 'infrequent'. The official went on to make comments about the current state of affairs.
“I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended”
Reports have swirled since April that the dictator had either died, or been in very critical condition. Sources since have stated these reports were false and merely a sting operation to see what informants were lurking in his main circle.
All things point towards his sister, Kim Yo Jong, claiming at least some of the power.
“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo Jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period”
Speculation surround Kim Jong Un's health since April. His sudden disappearance from the public eye for nearly three weeks sparked reports that he had undergone heart surgery. Kim even missed a commemoration to mark the birthday of his late grandfather. South Korea's spy agency has claimed that his lack of public appearances at the time was due to removing an ankle cyst.
